This is a very simple walk through of how to change the RapidFire splash screen, logo, boot image.
Type of file
The file must be saved as a .bmp
Size of image
The image size has to be 128x64px
No Color – Black and White Only
The image can only be in black and white. The easiest way to set this is to use something simple like paint.
Make the first one easy
Below is a 128x64px image to start from. Save this file to your computer and open it up in Microsoft paint.

While in paint click File and then Properties

Make sure the radio button in the Colors area is set to black and white

Once you make this change, you will notice the color pallet changes to show you options with the two colors.

Design your boot image as you see fit. You could do white on black or black on white.
When you are done editing, it is a good idea to check the file properties to make sure they are still set to black and white.
Save the file somewhere on your computer as a .bmp. This location will be referenced when we load it into the RapidFire updater application.
Open the RapidFireUpater and connect your module. With your module connected click the Load Bitmap button.

Browse to your .bmp file and select it. You will notice that the Splash Screen preview will update however you still need to select a firmware and click Flash Firmware.

IMPORTANT: If you do you click Flash Firmware aafter loading your .bmp file, even though the preview changes, it will not update the RapidFire module. To see examples of flashing RapidFire firmware click here.
Every time you flash firmware on the RapidFire it is recommended to calibrate the RapidFire receiver.
